Diagrams

Draw together, live

Diagrams are shared flowcharts attached directly to a sales lead or a project. Use them to map a buying committee, sales process, delivery flow or handover on the record it describes, then work on the canvas with your teammates in real time.

Create or open a diagram

  1. For a project, open its Diagrams tab. For a lead, open the lead detail view and find the Diagrams panel below linked projects.
  2. Choose New diagram. Beagle creates an untitled diagram and opens the canvas immediately.
  3. To return later, open the diagram by name from the same project tab or lead panel.

Choose a starting point

A fresh, empty canvas offers three templates. Choose one before drawing, or select Start blank:

  • Sales process — enquiry through to won or lost.
  • Buying committee map — decision-makers, influencers and sign-off.
  • Project delivery flow — kick-off through review and completion.

Build the flow

Use the Add toolbar to place the right kind of item on the canvas:

Process
A task, stage or handover in the flow.
Decision
A question or approval point where the flow branches.
Start / End
The entry or finishing point of a process.
Sticky note
Context, risks or reminders that do not need an arrow.
Text
A free-standing label for a section of the canvas.

Drag shapes to position them. Drag from one shape's connection point to another to add an arrow, and double-click a shape to edit its label. Changes save as you work; the status beside Export PNG shows when the diagram is live or when a sync issue needs attention.

Work together live

People who have the diagram open appear in the header, and their named cursors move across the canvas in real time. Each shape or connection syncs as it changes, so teammates can map a process together during a call or stand-up.

If the connection drops, Beagle shows an offline banner and reconnects the live session automatically. Check the save status before leaving if a sync warning remains.

Rename, undo and export

  • Use the pencil beside the title to rename the diagram.
  • Undo with Ctrl/Cmd + Z; add Shift to redo.
  • Choose Export PNG to download the canvas for a proposal, presentation or email.
  • Choose Delete to remove the whole diagram. This cannot be undone.

Access and ownership

  • Organisation admins and managers can create, edit, rename, export and delete diagrams. Members can open them in view-only mode.
  • Access follows the owning record's module: lead diagrams require Leads access; project diagrams require Projects access.
  • A diagram on a restricted project is visible only to people who are allowed to view that project. It does not create another route into restricted information.
  • Creating, renaming and deleting diagrams is recorded in the audit trail.
